Testimony of Hank's faithfulness through injury

Background

Hank and Laura Reid own Naturalgramma and have been very active in regenerative farming practices with themselves running large tracts of land using the principles. They also sell chicken tractors and produce from their farm. I didnt know of Hank, until I needed a chicken tractor for running behind my sheep to clear the remaining growth. As soon as I talked to him I knew he was a believer and follower of Yeshua, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High God. I wanted to meet him to collect the tractor and they decided to drop off the tractor on their way back home.

While delivering the tractor, the rain was real bad and Hank had a slip and fell and broke his leg.

What follows is the testimony of Hank's walk and how it has encouraged me through this process, in the last several weeks.

Praising even when you are down

Ephesians 5:20 states Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; and that is what I observed as Hank fell. He had a brief moment of reality that he had heard a snap, was sure his leg was broken and as he was calling to Laura to inform, he started praising God in the name of His Only Son Jesus.

It was one of the most memorable and moving experience I have had to witness the witnessing of God's glory.

My bride, Laura and I laid hands and prayed over Hank for immediate healing and protection and all of this would be to God's glory alone. We delivered the matter unto the foot stool of the throne of God into the hands of our High Priest in the heavenlies.

This was the next moving experience I saw of the power of the Spirit of the Most High at work in strangers yet not, who came in the professed belief of a common Master, although from different background, circumstances and ages.

As I stood by Hank, while he was laying down (we had him iced and raised his leg and such), he shared of God's goodness in his life and we shared our testimonies. We spoke of God's mercies in our lives and how He had chosen to bring us together as we sojourned on this earth, through this accident.

Singing hymns and sharing scriptures

[Col 3:16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

As we waited transportation and moving Hank to his hospital, we had some time and Hank and Laura started singing hymns. Some I had not heard and some I only know the tunes for. Nonetheless, I joined in where I could to have a Paul's prison moment (from Acts 16).

We also shared scripture verses as Hank was laying down there, trying to keep his swelling down and I had it surrounded with ice and structure to keep his leg from moving. We talked of the goodness of God, how without Jesus, the Son of the Most High we would be lost and our personal beliefs.

As many know from my journey, or just reading these pages on this site, although I started in a calvinistic evangelical tradition, my beliefs have grown upon further reading of the Scriptures. I believe Yeshua (or Yahoshua) is the name of the Son of the Most High God and that He came on earth 2000+ years ago to show us how to live as God His Father commanded. Jesus is a bad transliteration of His name from Greek to Old English (1611 KJV calls Him Iesus) to our modern English with the J. I also call the Most High by His name, Yah, as referenced in Psalm 68:4, and believe in Matthew 5:17 that my Master and King, Yeshua, did not come to abolish the law but show how to live it, by fulfilling it. Salvation has always been a gift of the Most High and of no merit of our own, as demonstrated by the life of Abraham or in bringing out of the nation of Israel from Egypt. I therefore believe in the Nazarene faith (Matthew 2:27 and Acts 24:5), as delivered unto the saints and first apostles, saved by grace through faith and obedience in faith to show we are saved and our love for the One who saved us.

Hank has more of an apostolic, non-denominational, pentecostal upbringing and has served the Lord, most of his life. He believes via Paul's epistle that the laws are done away with.

Inspite of these doctrinal differences, I may be felt close to a brother in Lebanon, when I first met him and this is the same way I felt, such close to a brother that I have just met, with Hank. Hank showed me through those short hours, how to live out the walk, through the most excruciating painful situation of his life of leg broken and not knowing what tomorrow holds due to all their plans now being put on hold etc.

My belief is that even if I use the correct Hebrew name or pronounce it perfectly, if I dont know the nature and character of the Son of the Most High, the academic correctness does not matter; Followed by living out His teachings as demonstrated by Him and His servants that apostles and saints. Hank showed me that he knows the power and might of the Only Name we are saved under, who is the Son of the Most High.

As we sojourn on this earth, until we are called home or Yeshua returns, we are to continually grow in knowledge through Yah's Word and in walking out our faith and in contending for our faith. This was brought home to me in more ways than one, as I fellowshipped with Hank through those hours.

We shared testimonies of Yah's goodness in our lives, our families, and sang more hymns as I drove them up to St Joseph's Mosaic Hospital.

Yah's will be done

Whether we like it or not, Yah's will, will be done. He is the Sovereign, Most High and Creator and Author of all things. Hank and Laura shared that they have been in prayer over what to do with the farm side of the business they were running and how to get into more ministry work assisting the saints of the Most High. The way this mishap has come in and changed their life showed that they had to make some of these decisions sooner. They reflected on Yah's will for them now and how to move forward given their current commitments and challenges running a large operation with just Laura being at the helm, with Hank operating form the hospital room.

Again to see the faithfulness and praise through these tough decision making process, was encouragement to me as to how true saints respond to difficult situations.

Operation, Healing and Recovery

I have talked to Hank on and off several times a week and watched his new set of videos on RevHankReid channel on Youtube when I have connectivity. His blending of regenerative practices around his trademark controlled disturbance concepts and the spiritual walk has been encouraging. Its interesting to see how the one who needs the most encouragement is giving encouragement to others. Praise the Most High for keeping Hank faithful!

His operation has been successful and although long and laborious due to his age, type of break, his large stature and pre-existing conditions, Hank and Laura have praised through the process. The hospital bills and how its been handled itself is an ordination of the Most High and He alone deserves all our praises.

Post Surgery Picture

I visited Hank the other day and we had a good time catching up, praying, ministering and just learning from him about running a regenerative farm. His wisdom and knowledge around the farm aspects are amazing and I plan to glean much more in the coming weeks.

Smiling Hank

He is now at an acute care facility in north west Missouri outside KC.
