Preamble
I met the groom in summer of 2021, as I started my walk in truly needing to following our Messiah Jesus Christ. This happened in a plan people community in the Ozarks. The groom was a young man and well capable of handling himself and almost seemed too aloof at times. As I came to know him better, I appreciated his honesty, testimonies on many a 1st day morning services, his sense for laughing at things and humor, as well as his work ethic. I got to know more about him through his employer and earthly father, and in working with him on occasions.
It was during the early time, I had hardly known him, when I chastised him for not being married yet with children like some of his forefathers. I also wanted him to hurry up and marry his bride, once I found out he was courting a young lady, some time after the first encounter. Even though this was done in friendly jocularly way, I have repented of this as I came to know more about his background and the loose words of my tongue.
What follows is recollections of that glorious day just few short months later when my friend and groom officially became a covenanted and wedded man in God's Kingdom.

Advise: all of what his father said, listen to the Word, apply it even if its not comfortable or make sense with flesh, balance your new contextual learning with the wisdom for your fathers in practical matters
